Tesla was forced to recall over 11,700 cars in the US due to a glitch in the beta version of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. The software glitch could cause a false forward-collision warning or unexpected activation of the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, potentially increasing the risk of a collision. Tesla stated that it was not aware of any crashes or injuries relating to the issue, and released an over-the-air software update to address it. As of October 29, 2021, more than 99.8 percent of vehicles had installed the update.
